Buyout/LBO
- CTSi, aviation and aerospace products that serve the Department of Defense, NASA and commercial customers, acquired by John H. Northrop & Associates, via its financial sponsor Falfurrias Management Partners, through an LBO.
- Wellman, aluminum and magnesium sand castings that serve military and commercial applications, acquired by J.F. Lehman & Company through an LBO.
Early Stage VC
- Starlab Space, a commercial space station company that serves space agencies, researchers, and companies, raised Series A venture funding from Okeanos, Mercury Fund and Blanck Capital.
- Dominion Dynamics, a command and control platform that secures Canada’s Arctic domain, raised $21 million of venture funding in a deal led by Georgian.
- Firestorm, deployable micro-factories that modernize the way defense and industrial sectors build, deploy, and sustain systems, raised $5 million of venture funding in the form of options and warrants.
- GridAero, an autonomous cargo logistics platform that offers rugged, long-range aircraft built for scale and resilience, raised $20 million of Series A venture funding in a deal led by Geodesic Capital and Bison Ventures.
Accelerator/Incubator
- Vatn Systems, autonomous underwater vehicles that operate in cooperative swarms, joined Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic as part of 2026 Cohort in 2026 and received EUR 100,000 in funding.
- Orpheus Ocean, automated underwater marine vehicles that simplify deep ocean exploration and reduce infrastructure costs for research and resource management, joined Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic as part of its 2026 cohort and received EUR 100,000 in funding.
- Tightbeam Photonics, low-cost laser communication systems that reduce the cost and complexity of space-to-ground data links through advanced photonics technology, joined Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic as part of its 2026 Cohort.
- WarpWare, an integrated space mission software platform that supports spacecraft development and operations, joined Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic as a part of its 2026 Cohort.
