Aerospace Capital Raises and Investors in the U.S. – September 16th – 30th, 2025

PIPE
- Aether Global Innovations, UAV drone management and operations services company that focuses on critical infrastructure and large public and private facilities, received $895,000 of development capital through a private placement.
Merger/Acquisition
- Phase Four, satellite propulsion systems that economically advance space missions, was acquired by Quantum Space.
Buyout/LBO
- Spacetime Engineering, high-performance RF components and antenna feeds for satellite communication systems that require high efficiency, low passive intermodulation, and broad frequency coverage, was acquired by Vitesse Systems, via its financial sponsors Trive Capital and Cordish Dixon Private Equity Fund I, through an LBO.
Later Stage VC
- Hermeus, aerospace and defense technology company that develops hypersonic aircraft quickly and cost-effectively, raised $159.55 million of Series C venture funding from Khosla Ventures, Revolution (Washington DC), and Canaan Partners.
Accelerator/Incubator
- Blue Water Autonomy, autonomous ships that enhance national defense and improve maritime operations, joined MassRobotics as part of the first batch of startups in the Physical AI Fellowship Program.
- Spacedock, advanced hardware and software system that removes roadblocks and ensures timely mission success in space operations, joined Plug and Play Tech Center as part of its second Seattle-area cohort.
Grant
- Firehawk, rocket engine technology that makes space transportation safe, reliable, and affordable, received $4 million of grant funding from AFWERX as part of its DAF Open Topic SBIR/STTR program.
Seed Round
- Capital Defense Technologies, defense technology platform that delivers artificial intelligence and technologies to address global military threats, raised $1.05 million of seed funding.
- Perseus Defense, guided defense hardware intended for threat neutralization in national security contexts, raised $6 million of seed funding from Sparkwave Capital, Alumni Ventures, and Bow Capital.
