Data Center Capital Raises in the U.S. – November 16th-30th, 2024

Merger/Acquisition and Corporate
1. ITsavvy, provider of integrated information technology products and associated services intended to offer a frictionless IT experience to clients across multiple segments and industries, was acquired by Xerox for $400 million.
2. Nebulon, developer of server-embedded, infrastructure software designed to offer the benefits of the public cloud on-premises, from core to edge for any application containerized, virtualized, or bare-metal, was acquired by Nvidia.
Buyout/LBO
3. Cloudrise, developer of a data protection and orchestration platform designed to enable, unify, and automate current data protection, was acquired by Exclusive Networks, via its financial sponsors Permira and IdiCo, through an LBO.
Later Stage VC
4. Crusoe, operator of mobile modular data centers intended to eliminate routine flaring of natural gas and reduce the cost of cloud computing, raised $685.72 million of venture funding in a deal led by Founders Fund.
5. Crytica Security, developer of a cybersecurity technology designed to tackle the growing spread of cybercrime attacks hitting companies, big and small, raised an additional $3.78 million of Series A-2 venture funding.
6. CyberCrunch, provider of e-waste disposal services intended to develop a method for recycling computers and electronics, raised $1.05 million of venture funding.
7. Eon, developer of a cloud backup posture management platform intended to understand, classify, and index cloud resources and applications, raised $70 million of Series C venture funding in a deal led by BOND Capital.

Began his career at ABN AMRO Bank in Japan, and subsequently in The Netherlands in the Corporate Finance department. Was seconded to New York in 2006 to co-establish the ABN AMRO North America Corporate Finance M&A department and grew it by advising medium and large companies on domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, capital raisings and capital structurings. Led the management buyout of RBS Bank Mexico and RBS Broker-Dealer Mexico in 2014 and spearheaded the subsequent growth of the bank as Head of Investment Banking & Corporate Development. During his tenure he supported companies with capital and financing solutions with a focus on companies in the US and Mexican energy infrastructure sector and fintech sector. Holds a master’s degree in economics from Groningen University, The Netherlands. Holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
