EdTech Capital Raises in the U.S. – October 16th-31st, 2024

Merger/Acquisition and Corporate

1.  Archer Review, provider of online healthcare education services intended to help future healthcare providers was acquired by Leeds Equity Partners through an LBO.

Later Stage VC

2.  SchooLinks, developer of a modern college and career readiness platform designed to support districts and students through all aspects of post-secondary planning raised $80 million of Series B venture funding in a deal led by Susquehanna Growth Equity. The funds will be used in a growing suite of CCR offerings and accelerate its growing ecosystem of products that facilitate connectivity between K-12, higher education, and employers.

3.  Buddy.ai, developer of a voice-based virtual English teaching platform intended to address learning challenges raised $11 million of venture funding in a deal led by BITKRAFT Ventures and EduCapital. The funds will be used to lead the AI revolution in early learning by advancing the company’s proprietary AI technology further, continuing to mature the gaming and world-building elements on the app, and expanding partnerships with schools and educational institutions.

Angel, Seed, and Grant

4.  Oboe, developer of an AI-powered educational platform intended to produce a user-friendly interface that helps people accomplish the task at hand raised $4 million of Seed funding in a deal led by Eniac Ventures. The funds will be used achieve the vision of the firm.

5.  Adaptive Reader, developer of an adaptive reader platform intended to enhance comprehension with leveled, multilingual novels joined Harvard Innovation Launch Lab as a part of its Launch Lab X GEO program on October 24, 2024. No equity or funding was exchanged as a result of this program.

6. OneEleven, a developer of a financial wellness platform designed to cultivate healthy money habits to enhance happiness and reduce financial stress, recently graduated from gener8tor’s Insurance & Wealth Accelerator program. As part of this achievement, OneEleven received funding to further its mission of promoting financial wellness.
