Energy Capital Raises and Investors in the U.S. – April 1st – May 31st, 2026

PIPE
- NextNRG, integrated ecosystem that combines solar energy generation, battery storage, smart microgrids, wireless electric vehicle (EV) charging, and on-demand fuel delivery, received $6.4 million of development capital.
Merger/Acquisition
- C-Nergie, energy efficiency services for commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors, was acquired by E’nergys Group.
- Distributed Power Solutions, distributed power services specializing in mobile power generation and turnkey energy systems that serve utility and industrial markets from its base in Pearland, Texas, was acquired by Kodiak Gas Services for $675 million.
Later Stage VC
- Celadyne, proton exchange membranes for hydrogen fuel cells and electrolyzers serving the defense, industrial, and heavy-duty transport sectors, raised $250,000 of venture funding from The University of Texas at Austin.
- Plugless Power, wireless inductive charging infrastructure that powers electric vehicles autonomously without physical connectors, raised venture funding from NRV.
Early Stage VC
- Ouros Energy, lithium-based battery technology for improving energy storage performance, raised $15.02 million through a combination of Series A venture funding from Rolling Fun, Unpopular Ventures, and other investors, putting the company’s pre-money valuation at $31.98 million.
- Thea Energy, scalable fusion energy technology that creates a limitless source of zero-emission power, raised $100 million of Series B venture funding in a deal led by US Innovative Technology Fund, putting the company’s pre-money valuation at $202.7 million.
Seed Round
- Petra Power, on-site power generation technology that provides backup and primary power for data centers, heavy industrial facilities, and utility-scale applications, raised $3.75 million of Series 1 seed funding from Acequia Capital and other investors.
- Terraform Industries, atmospheric hydrocarbon synthesis technology that helps to produce natural gas from sunlight and air, raised $37.75 million through a combination of Seed funding from Myelin VC, Climate Capital and Mana Ventures, putting the company’s pre-money valuation at $182.25 million.
