Energy Capital Raises and Investors in the U.S. – July 1st – 31st, 2026

PE Growth/Expansion
- SunZia Transmission Project, electricity transmission line project that transfers energy between central New Mexico and south-central Arizona, received $546 million of development capital from Nuveen.
- V20 Energy, battery energy storage systems for grid frequency regulation, received development capital from Cherokee and Walker.
Merger/Acquisition
- Northwoods LP, propane fuel and storage equipment for residential and commercial energy needs, was acquired by Lakes Gas.
- Prevalon Energy, energy storage services based in Heathrow, Florida, was acquired by Nextpower for an estimated $365 million.
Later Stage VC
- ATS Energy, energy-producing solid-state thermovoltaic products that improve alternative energy options, raised $10.1 million of venture funding.
- I-Pulse, pulsed-power technology platform that converts small amounts of electrical energy into powerful bursts for industrial applications, raised $250 million of venture funding.
Early Stage VC
- Cardinal Data Power, gigawatt-scale data center campuses that support the development of power generation for computing infrastructure, raised $70 million through a combination of Series A-1 and Series A-2 venture funding in a deal led by Hood River Capital Management, putting the company’s pre-money valuation at $235 million.
- Otovo, energy services for monitoring, rapid repairs, and smart energy management, raised $7.25 million of venture funding in a deal led by EIC Rose Rock.
Seed Round
- BlueCore Energy, modular nuclear reactor for maritime applications, raised $10 million of Pre-Seed funding in a deal led by Slauson & Co., putting the company’s pre-money valuation at $18 million.
- Piq Energy, grid study technology that supports the execution of electrical interconnection analysis and transmission modeling processes, raised $5 million of seed funding in a deal led by Active Impact Investments.
