Internet Of Things Capital Raises in the U.S. – February 16th – 28th, 2025

Merger/Acquisition and Corporate

    1. Varcode, developer of a barcode technology platform designed to provide low-cost, reliable next-gen information, and technology, was acquired by Four M Commercial Operations.

Later Stage VC

    1. Andium, developer of an industrial IoT platform designed to bring intelligent software services down to the device layer, raised $22.18 million through a combination of Series B-1, Series B-2, and Series B-3 venture funding in a deal led by Aramco Ventures.
    2. Augury, developer of an artificial intelligence-powered machine health platform designed to help manufacturers eliminate downtime and maximize productivity, raised $75 million of Series F venture funding in a deal led by Lightrock.
    3. Diamond Kinetics, developer of motion tracking and analysis software designed to help baseball players improve their game performance, raised $18.64 million of Series B1 venture funding from Elysian Park Ventures, Innovation Partnerships, and other investors.
    4. Valiot, developer of artificial intelligence and IoT-enabled software designed to transform the way manufacturers work, raised $3.4 million of venture funding.
    5. Verkada, developer of a cloud-based platform designed to offer enterprise physical security technology, raised $200 million of Series E venture funding in a deal led by General Catalyst.

Accelerator/Incubator

    1. Orion, developer of a real-time mobile communication platform designed to improve workforce productivity, safety and compliance, and customer engagement, joined AWS & Crowdstrike Cybersecurity Accelerator as part of the second Demo Day.

Angel, Seed, and Grant

    1. Emtar Tech, operator of a pioneering next-generation semiconductor solutions, specializing in ultra-reliable, fast-response wireless SoCs and high-efficiency GaN technology, raised CAD 18.5 million of angel funding.
    2. OpenInfer, developer of an AI-based agent engine designed to unlock the potential of smart devices everywhere, raised $8 million of seed funding from Cota Capital, Essence Venture Capital, and Operator Stack.

Began his career at ABN AMRO Bank in Japan, and subsequently in The Netherlands in the Corporate Finance department. Was seconded to New York in 2006 to co-establish the ABN AMRO North America Corporate Finance M&A department and grew it by advising medium and large companies on domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, capital raisings and capital structurings. Led the management buyout of RBS Bank Mexico and RBS Broker-Dealer Mexico in 2014 and spearheaded the subsequent growth of the bank as Head of Investment Banking & Corporate Development. During his tenure he supported companies with capital and financing solutions with a focus on companies in the US and Mexican energy infrastructure sector and fintech sector. Holds a master’s degree in economics from Groningen University, The Netherlands. Holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
