Legal Tech Capital Raises and Investors in the U.S. – October 1st to 15th, 2025

Buyout/LBO

  1. Grizzly Logic, title search and record-data services platform that supports legal and real estate workflows, was acquired by Schneider Geospatial, via its financial sponsor Align Capital Partners.

Later Stage VC

  1. BlackBoiler, automated artificial intelligence-based contract review platform that reviews and revises contract history instantaneously, raised $750,000 of venture funding in the form of convertible debt from investors.
  2. Harvey, legal technology platform that assists law practitioners, raised EUR 50 million of venture funding in a deal led by EQT.
  3. Spellbook, automation and online collaboration platform that drafts and reviews contracts faster with AI, raised $50 million of Series B venture funding from investors, putting the company’s pre-money valuation at $300 million.

Early Stage VC

  1. Crosby, AI-assisted legal software that streamlines contract review for businesses, raised $20 million of Series A venture funding in a deal led by Index Ventures and Bain Capital Ventures.
  2. Finch, pre-litigation automation platform that helps personal injury firms serve more clients by combining experienced human paralegals and legal AI agents, raised $23.7 million of venture funding through a combination of debt and equity in a deal led by Sequoia Capital and Redpoint Ventures.
  3. Polygraf AI, on-premise AI security platform that detects and prevents AI-driven threats, data leaks, and content manipulation across sensitive environments, raised $9.52 million of venture funding from Datapower Ventures and other investors.

Seed Round

  1. CipherOwl, digital asset intelligence platform that navigates the complex landscape of digital asset regulations, raised $15 million of seed funding in a deal led by General Catalyst and Flourish Ventures.
  2. LexMed, AI-powered legal tool that supports Social Security Disability attorneys across the United States, raised $1 million of convertible debt funding from investors.
