Legal Tech Capital Raises in the U.S. – March 16th-31st, 2025

Buyout/LBO

    1. SmartDepo, developer of AI-based legal technology designed for the generation of deposition summaries and testimony management, was acquired by Rev, via its financial sponsor Venture Capital Fund of America, through an LBO.

Accelerator/Incubator

    1. Aracor AI, developer of an automated contract review tool designed to analyze documents to deliver professional insights, joined Peachscore as a part of its Cohort 16.

Later Stage VC

    1. Icertis, developer of a contract intelligence platform designed to structure and connect every kind of contract, raised $50 million of venture funding.

Early Stage VC 

    1. Cicero, developer of a legal artificial intelligence platform designed for the needs of corporate legal departments, raised $99.53 million of Series A1 venture funding from Sierra Ventures and other investors.
    2. Contend, developer of an AI legal assistant designed to help everyday people get the help they need to resolve their legal problems, raised venture funding from The Legal Tech Fund.
    3. DeepIP, developer of a patent assistant platform intended to offer artificial intelligence-based tools for IP-related tasks, raised $15 million of venture funding through a combination of debt and equity.

Seed

    1. CaseBlink, developer of a legal workflow platform designed to make immigration processes much smoother, raised $2 million of pre-seed funding in a deal led by Tower Research Ventures.
    2. Ownright, operator of a legal platform intended to provide legal advice for real estate, raised CAD 4.5 million of seed funding in a deal led by Alate Partners and Relay Ventures.
