- All Creatures Pet Lodge, provider of boarding, daycare, and grooming services intended to specialize in taking great care of any indoor domesticated house pets, was acquired by MR. Hope Voorhis and Ms. Sue Nolden.
- Allivet, operator of an online pet pharmacy intended for dogs, cats, horses, fish, and other pet animals, was acquired by Tractor Supply.
- Cloud Star, producer of natural pet food products intended for dogs and cats, was acquired by General Mills for $1.45 billion.

- Green Light Pet Hospital, provider of veterinary healthcare intended to provide emergency and critical care for pets, raised $376,800 of angel funding.
