- Gallant, a pet biotech company, raised $27.06 million of venture funding.
Seed Round, Angel and Grant
- Scribenote, a veterinary software platform, raised $8.2 million seed funding in a deal led by Andreessen Horowitz. (Lead Investor: Andreessen Horowitz)
- K9 Power, a pet nutrition brand, raised $600,000 of angel funding.
Merger/Acquisition and Corporate
- Bio-Vet, a provider of animal health products, was acquired by Anpario for approximately $7.3 million, with a potential contingent payout of $1 million based on EBITDA performance. (Lead Investor: Anpario)
- Veterinary Simulator Industries, a provider of veterinary training simulators, was acquired by 3B Scientific, via its financial sponsors 1315 Capital and G Square Healthcare Private Equity, through an LBO.
