Overview

Finnex, LLC, a subsidiary of Thyssen Petroleum USA formed to develop opportunities in Alaska, is seeking up to $35 million of debt/equity to continue high value, expected high rate of return Mustang field development, drilling, and production activities

Mustang Holding LLC, a Finnex subsidiary, was acquired out of foreclosure from the Alaska Industrial Development and Exportation Authority (AIDEA) in October 2023 and is the leaseholder and Operator

Mustang Holding has a 90.1% WI with minority partners, AVCG and Nabors

Located on the southwest Unit boundary of the 7.0 billion barrel, Kuparuk River Unit, second largest to the Prudhoe Bay field adjacent further east

Strong professional leadership team with extensive experience in Alaska North Slope development, the oil and gas industry, and the Alaskan market

Development plans have been approved and permitting is underway to allow restart of oil production in 4Q 2024

Opportunity

Wholesale Bourbon In Barrel:

A Short-Term Alternative Investment Profile

The Mustang Field project is in the heartland of the Alaska North Slope production area. It is adjacent to the super-giant Kuparuk River oil field operated by ConocoPhillips and the Oil Search/Repsol Nanushuk discoveries, which have recently announced development plan approvals

The field benefits from a permanent gravel pad enabling year-round operations and a connection to the Alpine Pipeline System, allowing ready access to market via the Alpine, Kuparuk and TAPS pipeline systems. The crude oil is marketed as ANS

At around 33mmbbl recoverable the field is too small by Alaska standards to attract the interest of the majors, but large enough for a small, focused operator with local experience

Access to the opportunity arises from a participating interest which it sold in 2019 and from the relationship with AIDEA (Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority). AIDEA foreclosed on the previous owners and is anxious to put the asset back on production

Finnex has access to all the previous operating staff and facilities and has worked with all the creditors in developing a recovery plan. Partnership with an operator with proven Alaska drilling experience, which would further enhance its ability to maximize recovery and minimize drilling risk

Solution/Strategy

Opportunity to redevelop undervalued asset acquired out of foreclosure with State of Alaska agency (AIDEA)

The Mustang field has proven oil production in the Kuparuk horizon with additional prospectives zones in the Nanushuk, Moraine, and Alpine intervals

Mustang Holding has agreements with key service providers; Ennovate for EPCM design, Conam for construction, Fairweather for drilling management

D&M assessed 33 MM bbls (2P) oil reserves oil with ready access to market via the Alpine and Kuparuk pipelines into the TAPS pipeline system

Finnex staff are intimately familiar with the asset and have phased development plans to grow oil production from 3,000 to 12,000 bopd within three years

Infrastructure in place – road and pad and two production wells ready to connect to support start up; oil export connection to TAPS pipeline is in place

Half cycle well economics for additional well investments show IRR’s >>75% at $80 ANS oil price

Ability to work year-round with permanent pad and road access

Plan of Development (POD) approved by Alaska DNR with key permits submitted and activities fully funded through first production in 4Q ‘24
