Overview

PJ Woodlands, LLC is seeking $33 million to grow this ecologically minded manufacturing company. Uses its patented process to turn forest waste and recycled plastic into commercially viable wood and metal substitute products.

$4.5 million of founder capital and grants invested to date.

Wood plastic composite manufacturing and licensing company with worldwide exclusive rights to FiberWood™.

PJ Woodlands

FiberWood™ is an industrial grade sheathing product made from Althin™ fiber derived from ecological forest restoration and thinning operations – the removal of small diameter trees, standing dead trees, and forest slash that would otherwise fuel catastrophic forest fires.

FiberWood™ is a replacement to aluminum roadway guide signs and has since been adopted as a green building material suitable to replace plywood and other wood-based sheeting products – improves forest health and sustainability.

Reduces the likelihood of catastrophic forest fires.

Opportunity

Wood Plastic Composites (WPC) are an environmentally friendly substitute for both wood, plastic and steel, taking market share from these materials at a CAGR of 11%.

With growing concerns about the environment and meeting CO2 emissions requirements, companies are developing effective and efficient WPCs from recycled raw materials.

Roll up potential within the highly fragmented WPC market at the manufacturing and distribution level.

Solution/Strategy

Solution

FiberWood™ is a green, recyclable, reusable, wood
fiber plastic composite made from woody
biomass fiber and “milk jug” plastic using
patented manufacturing technology. Water,
UV, animal and insect resistant, holds nails
better than wood, is cost competitive,
environmentally friendly, and has over a 20-
year life. The manufacturing processes are
patent protected.

Althin™ is a clean, dry, fiber. Wood chips
come from small diameter trees, standing
dead trees, fire thinnings and forest slash,
using the entire tree-trunk, branches,
treetops, bark, needles, berries and leaves,
leaving behind no waste in the forest once
harvested.
