  • Management team has over 60 years of experience in CleanTech, investment and management

  • Climate change is an existential threat and an enormous investment opportunity
    • air pollution from incumbent energy and mobility causes millions of deaths per year and increases respiratory disease such as COVID-19
  • Global primary energy consumption has grown rapidly, led by natural gas (over 40% of the growth) and renewables (14.5%)

Management

Kunal Sethi

Managing Partner, Founder. Over 20 years of experience in food, life sciences, environmental science, waste management, agribusiness and other industries. Led multiple clean energy transactions (upstream to downstream). Extensive background in mergers/acquisitions, asset securitizations and private equity. Started career at MetLife, later managing institutional investments at ABN AMRO, RBS and ANZ; led his team to record banking revenues while maintaining its position as premier investment banks through global and corporate economic turmoil. Bachelor’s in commerce from University of Mumbai, specialization in banking at Charles Sturt University and Monetary Authority of Singapore, and specialization in Environmental Science at Southern New Hampshire University.

 

Vivek Soni, PhD

General Partner. Over 30 years of global leadership experience as a senior executive, board member, investor and advisor. 15 years in CleanTech. Comprehensive technical and operations background including polymers, chemicals, materials, manufacturing processes and research/development. Manages the TiE Boston Angels. Board member of the holding company for the A.T.E. Group in India. Advisory Board for Massachusetts’ largest municipal electric utility. Prior roles included Venture advisor to Nomura International’s London-based New Energy and CleanTech Fund – focused on expansion stage venture capital deals; President of Corporate Technology Strategy & Services at the Aditya Birla Group; and senior technology roles at Polaroid and research and development at Shell. Long-time volunteer and judge for CleanTech Open Northeast. Frequent speaker on early stage investing and judge for various domestic and international business plan competitions. Mentor to numerous CleanTech companies through the VentureWell Aspire CleanTech national program. Executive Development Program graduate from Northwestern University – Kellogg School of Management. PhD and MS in Polymer Science and Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. BTech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.

Robert F. Parker

Partner. Over 15 years of experience as an executive, advisor, banker, and project developer in CleanTech and renewable energy. Principal at Sif Capital Advisors. Innovation Advisory Board of the NECEC (E.I.R. for NYSERDA). Adjunct Professor at New York University for CleanTech Finance & Entrepreneurship. Previously served as Deputy Director of the CleanTech Open-NYC and was on the Advisory Board of NY Energy Week. Provides advisory services to early-stage and growth CleanTech companies on capital markets strategy, project finance, restructuring, and operations. MBA cum laude from Loyola University-Chicago.
