Kunal Sethi

Managing Partner, Founder. Over 20 years of experience in food, life sciences, environmental science, waste management, agribusiness and other industries. Led multiple clean energy transactions (upstream to downstream). Extensive background in mergers/acquisitions, asset securitizations and private equity. Started career at MetLife, later managing institutional investments at ABN AMRO, RBS and ANZ; led his team to record banking revenues while maintaining its position as premier investment banks through global and corporate economic turmoil. Bachelor’s in commerce from University of Mumbai, specialization in banking at Charles Sturt University and Monetary Authority of Singapore, and specialization in Environmental Science at Southern New Hampshire University.


Vivek Soni, PhD

General Partner. Over 30 years of global leadership experience as a senior executive, board member, investor and advisor. 15 years in CleanTech. Comprehensive technical and operations background including polymers, chemicals, materials, manufacturing processes and research/development. Manages the TiE Boston Angels. Board member of the holding company for the A.T.E. Group in India. Advisory Board for Massachusetts’ largest municipal electric utility. Prior roles included Venture advisor to Nomura International’s London-based New Energy and CleanTech Fund – focused on expansion stage venture capital deals; President of Corporate Technology Strategy & Services at the Aditya Birla Group; and senior technology roles at Polaroid and research and development at Shell. Long-time volunteer and judge for CleanTech Open Northeast. Frequent speaker on early stage investing and judge for various domestic and international business plan competitions. Mentor to numerous CleanTech companies through the VentureWell Aspire CleanTech national program. Executive Development Program graduate from Northwestern University – Kellogg School of Management. PhD and MS in Polymer Science and Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. BTech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.

Robert F. Parker

Operating Partner. Over 15 years of experiences as an executive, advisor, banker, and project developer in Cleantech and renewable energy. Member of NYC’s Cleantech community with a passion for sustainably solving the world’s energy and environmental challenges by helping early stage companies grow and scale effectively and thrive over the long term. Provides advisory services to early-stage and growth cleantech companies on capital markets strategy, project finance, restructuring, and operations. Innovation Advisory Board of the NECEC (E.I.R. for NYSERDA). Adjunct Professor at New York University for CleanTech Finance & Entrepreneurship. MBA cum laude from Loyola University-Chicago. BA in International Relations from John Hopkins University.


Kedar Gupta

Board Advisor. Over 40 years of experience as a serial entrepreneur, business leader and investor. Co-founded the pioneering Solar PV company (GT Equipment Technology) which successfully commercialized cost-effective polysilicon production while offering full turnkey equipment and processing to global customers. Active investor in numerous startups, funds, and angel groups including co-founding ARC Energy (LEDs). Led corporate awards which included the 1998 New Hampshire High Tech Council Entrepreneur of the Year Award, Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500 for one of the 500 fastest growing technologies in the US, 2002 NH Exporter of the Year award from the U.S. Small Business Administration, and the 2005 National Small Business Environmental Exporter of the Year award from the Export-Import Bank of the United States. Awarded the Businessperson of the Year award from New England Clean Energy. Master and Ph.D. degrees  in Material Science from the State University of New York, Stony Brook. MBA from Lindenwood Colleges. B. Tech from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur.
