Robotics and Drones Capital Raises in the U.S. – April 16th-30th, 2025

Buyout/LBO

    1. Preston Eastin, designer and manufacturer of manual, electric and robotic positioners and manipulators intended for the welding, aerospace, aviation, automotive, transportation and shipbuilding industries, was acquired by Steelmax Tools, via its financial sponsors Emko Capital and Tecum Capital, through an LBO.

Merger/Acquisition and Corporate

    1. Zepher Flight Labs, developer of an unmanned aircraft system designed to improve endurance and acoustic performance in austere environments, was acquired by HevenDrones.

Later Stage VC

    1. Harvest CROO Robotics, developer of an AI-driven, robotic, and fully autonomous strawberry harvesting system designed to address labor shortages in agriculture by automating the pick-to-pack process, raised $4.1 million of venture funding.

Early Stage VC 

    1. Pattern Labs, developer of robotics-based systems designed for airport ground operations, raised $9.00 million of Series A venture funding from Sixth Form Partners, E12 Venture Capital, and Origin Ventures.

Seed

    1. Cosmic Robotics, developer of artificial intelligence-based robotics designed for the utility-scale photovoltaic solar construction industry, raised $4 million of pre-seed funding in a deal led by Giant Ventures.
    2. Theseus, developer of visual navigation system intended to retrofit onto any drone that mimics a GPS, raised $4.3 million of seed funding in a deal led by First Round Capital.
