Robotics and Drones Capital Raises in the U.S. – May 16th to 31st, 2025

Early Stage VC 

    1. RoboForce, artificial intelligence robotics system designed for automating labor-intensive tasks, raised $15 million of venture funding from Carnegie Mellon University and other investors.
    2. Thor Dynamics, directed energy systems designed for drone and swarm defense to protect critical infrastructure and national security, raised $7.80 million of venture funding in a deal led by Lifeline Ventures and Scout Ventures.
    3. Ulysses Ecosystem Engineering, marine drone technology firm intended for seagrass ocean and other marine restoration, raised $7.55 million of venture funding.
    4. Watney Robotics, autonomous robotics system designed to operate critical infrastructure to shrink to-do lists and boost productivity, raised $21.14 million of venture funding from Abstract Ventures, A* and other investors.

Seed

    1. Loki Robotics, robot cleaning services intended to use robots for commercial office cleaning and to handle time-consuming tasks, raised $1.6 million of pre-seed funding in a deal led by byFounders.
    2. Revise Robotics, electronics recycling platform intended for accelerating electronics refurbishment and resale through robotics and automation, raised $3.62 million of seed funding from Syntax Ventures and other investors.

Accelerator/Incubator

    1. Mbodi AI, robotics platform designed to offer an open-source to facilitate robot learning, joined Y Combinator as part of its Spring 2025 and received $500,000 in funding in the form of SAFE notes.
