Top 10 Aerospace Capital Raises in the U.S. – February 16th – 28th, 2025

PE Growth/Expansion

    1. Stronvar Aerospace, a manufacturer of aerospace components intended for commercial and military aviation markets, received development capital from Blackstone.

Merger/Acquisition and Corporate

    1. Omnigas Systems, a provider of after-market services aerospace oxygen and fire suppression systems intended for commercial, business, and military aviation sectors, was acquired by Aerox, a subsidiary of O2 Aero Acquisitions.
    2. G5 Infrared, a manufacturer of infrared camera systems and imaging services intended for defense, border security, and counter-drone markets, was acquired by Lightpath Technologies for $27 million.

Buyout/LBO

    1. Electro-Methods, a manufacturer of high-performance components for next-generation commercial and defense engine platforms, was acquired by Stronvar Aerospace, via its financial sponsor Blackstone, through an LBO.
    2. Estex Manufacturing Company, a manufacturer of tool management and safety products catering to airlines, utilities, and government sectors, was acquired by Shorehill Capital through an LBO.
    3. Frazier Aviation, a developer of an enterprise resource planning system platform designed to manage and coordinate resources, information, and functions of a business from shared data stores, was acquired by Seven Point Equity Partners through an LBO.

Later Stage VC

    1. Saronic Technologies, a manufacturer of unmanned surface vehicles intended to enhance maritime security and domain awareness, raised $600 million in Series C venture funding in a deal led by General Catalyst and other investor.

Early Stage VC 

    1. AirQtel, a developer of an advanced aerial surveillance platform designed to provide ultra-high-resolution real-time imaging for challenging environments, raised $27 million in Series A venture funding.

Angel, Seed, and Grant

    1. Karman+, an operator of a mine space resources company intended to provide abundant, sustainable energy and resources in space and for Earth, raised $20 million in seed funding in a deal led by Hummingbird Ventures and Plural Platform.
    2. Rune Technologies, a developer of a defense technology platform designed to optimize logistics and sustainment operations for the military, raised $6.2 million in seed funding in a deal led by Andreessen Horowitz.
