Top 10 Aerospace Capital Raises in the U.S. – January 16th-31st, 2025

Merger/Acquisition and Corporate

    1. Kranze Technology Solutions, a manufacturer of hardware and software product development, systems of systems integration, system test and evaluation support, modeling and simulation analysis, and other engineering services to support the Warfighter, was acquired by SPX Technologies for approximately $350 million.
    2. Ultra PCS (Ultralynx Product Line), a provider of wearable computing technology, designed to reduce the cognitive and physical burden on military personnel, was acquired by INVISIO for $ 3.5 million.

Buyout/LBO

    1. Bandy Manufacturing, a manufacturer of complex and close-tolerance hinges intended to design and engineer hinges for commercial and military platforms, was acquired by Novaria Group through an LBO.
    2. PAC Seating Systems, a manufacturer of engineered custom seating designed for the business jet and aerospace market, was acquired by LifePort, via its financial sponsors PennantPark and Tower Arch Capital, through an LBO.

Later Stage VC

    1. Phase Four, a developer of satellite propulsion systems designed to economically advance space missions, raised $12.93 million in Series C venture funding in a deal led by Artemis Energy Holdings.
    2. SkySafe, a developer of an airspace security system designed to protect a moving perimeter from drone attacks or surveillance, raised $4.03 million in venture funding in the form of convertible debt.
    3. Urban Sky, a developer of remote sensing vehicle designed to provide high-resolution earth observation data, raised $30.02 million in Series B venture funding.

Early Stage VC 

    1. Castelion, a manufacturer of military systems intended to provide maximum deterrence at terminal velocity, raised $100 million in Series A venture funding through a combination of debt and equity.

Angel, Seed, and Grant

    1. Kapta Space, an operator of a spaceborne radar intended to provide low-cost advanced electronically steered array sensors, raised $5.38 million in Seed funding from Gaingels and other investors.
    2. Spaceium, a developer of a spacecraft docking system designed to conquer the challenges and expense of transporting, accessing, and refueling in space, raised $5 million in seed funding in a deal led by Initialized Capital Management.
