Top 10 Aerospace Capital Raises in the U.S. – May 1st to 15th, 2025

PIPE

  1. Volatus Aerospace Inc., leader in innovative global aerial solutions for intelligence and cargo received CAD 3 million of development capital from investors on May 1, 2025.

Merger/Acquisition

  1. Columbia Manufacturing, manufacturer of aviation and aerospace OEM hardware and MRO components, catering to the world’s major turbine engine manufacturers, commercial airlines, industrial power companies, military operations, and related industries, was acquired by Collective Manufacturing Group on May 8, 2025.
  2. Optical Physics, designer and manufacturer of advanced optical systems intended for aerospace, defense, and scientific applications, was acquired by Voyager for $10.7 million on May 2, 2025.

Later Stage VC

  1. SkySelect, operator of a digital aircraft procurement platform intended to facilitate the purchasing of aircraft parts, raised venture funding from Verb Ventures in May 2025.
  2. X-Bow Systems, manufacturer of rocket propellant intended to offer access to orbit for commercial and government payloads, raised $105 million through a combination of Series B-1, Series B-2, and Series B-3 venture funding in a deal led by Lockheed Martin Ventures and Razor’s Edge Ventures on May 12, 2025, putting the company’s pre-money valuation at $503 million.

Early Stage VC

  1. Obruta, developer of autonomy software infrastructure designed to support the full lifecycle of in-space satellite services, raised venture funding from AVenture Capital on May 5, 2025.
  2. Starlab Space, operator of a commercial space station company intended to serve space agencies, researchers, and companies, raised venture funding from Mercury Fund in May 2025.

Accelerator/Incubator

  1. Cascade Space, developer of a spacecraft communication and design platform intended for missions beyond low Earth orbit, joined Y Combinator on May, 2025 and received $500,000 in funding.
  2. Dylan Aerospace, manufacturer of details and assemblies for large commercial and military aircraft markets intended to reduce product development cost, joined Greater Seattle Partners as a part of its Greater Seattle Export Accelerator Program Cohort 3 on May 3, 2025.
  3. Prandtl Dynamics, developer of integrated simulation and analysis designed for aerospace and defense applications, joined Plug and Play Tech Center on May 9, 2025 and received funding in the form of grant.
