Merger/Acquisition and Corporate
- Axillon Aerospace, provider of engineered carbon fiber composite components and fuel containment solutions for the defense and commercial aerospace markets, was acquired by SK Capital Partners through an LBO.
- LeoStella, manufacturer of satellites designed for geospatial intelligence, was acquired by BlackSky. The acqusition enables BlackSky to improve control over the Gen-3 supply chain and production operations.
Later Stage VC
- Firefly Aerospace, manufacturer of orbital launch vehicles designed to provide economical and convenient access to space, raised $175 million through a combination of Series D-1, and Series D-2 venture funding in a deal led by RPM Ventures.
- Lunar Outpost, developer of space robotics designed to extend the presence on the lunar surface while having a positive impact on Earth, raised an undisclosed amount of Series A venture funding in a deal led by Type One Ventures and Industrious Ventures.
- ORB Aerospace, developer of an electric aircraft designed to revolutionize the aviation sector, raised $3.20 million in venture funding.
Early Stage VC
- Celerity Craft, manufacturer of dynamic air cushion vehicles (DACV) designed for marine transportation, raised a venture funding from WUTIF Capital.
- Chaos, operator of a technology company intended to build defense and critical industry technologies, raised $145 million of Series B venture funding in a deal led by Accel, Lerner Enterprises, Overmatch and 8VC.
Accelerator/Incubator
- Kon Aerosystems, developer of aviation and aerospace components designed to reduce environmental impact, joined University of Toronto Entrepreneurship.
- Origami Space, developer of space technology designed for making small satellites, joined The Catalyst Accelerator as a part of its 14th cohort.
- Pulsar Space Systems, developer of space technology designed to enhance efficiency and performance for businesses in the space sector, joined The Catalyst Accelerator as part of its 14th cohort.
