Top 10 AgTech Capital Raises and Investors in the U.S. – November 16th – December 31st, 2025

Buyout/LBO

    1. Aquanty, a water resources science and technology firm that serves the agriculture, oil and gas and mining industries was acquired by Rocscience, via its financial sponsor TA Associates Management, through an LBO.

Merger/Acquisition

    1. Exceldor Coopérative, a poultry firm based in Lévis, Quebec offers poultry products and recipes such as chicken breasts, wings, turkey, and nuggets was acquired by Sofina Foods for CAD 5 million.
    2. Hexas Biomass, sustainable, high-yielding biomass crop that replaces wood and fossil fuels was acquired by Bioleum for $6.5 million.

Later Stage VC

    1. Herdstrong, a cow health monitoring system that meets the needs of early disease detection in animals raised $2.86 million of venture funding.
    2. Terragrit, abrasive weed management virtualization engine system for physical environments raised a venture funding from Recursive Ventures.
    3. Dalan, insect health company that provides sustainable approaches to ensure a safe food supply raised $3 million of venture funding in the form of SAFE notes from Good Growth Capital, Yuyu Pharma and Meach Cove Capital.

Early Stage VC 

    1.  Eden (Agriculture), an agricultural biotechnology company that safeguards global crops against climate change by combining AI and computational biology to ensure resilient harvests and sustainable food systems raised a venture funding from Ag Ventures Alliance.
    2. Atym, edge orchestration technology that leverages device containerization to increase safety, security, and IP protection, raised $350,000 of venture funding.

Accelerator/Incubator

    1. Protein Kapital, an insect-based biorefinery that converts organic waste into valuable proteins and fertilizers using black soldier flies joined Imperial Enterprise Lab as a part of its 2026 Commonwealth Startup Fellowship.

Seed Round

    1. Bloom Spatial, vegetation management software for electric utility cooperatives to solve tangible vegetation problems, raised $254,998 of Seed funding.
