Top 10 AgTech Capital Raises and Investors in the U.S. – September 16th – 30th, 2025

Later Stage VC
- PittMoss, sphagnum peat moss substitute that offers gardening amendments and mixes for commercial growth, raised $1.90 million of venture funding in the form of convertible debt from Innovation Works and other investors.
- Vertical Harvest Farms, hydroponic farms that provide inclusive employment for underserved populations in vertical farms, raised venture funding from Raiven Capital.
- Wakefield BioChar, soil conditioner that develops healthier soil for farming, raised $4.29 million of venture funding.
Early Stage VC
- ArkeaBio, vaccine technology that reduces greenhouse gas emissions from the agricultural sector, raised $7 million of Series A1 venture funding.
- Forever Feed Technologies, water-saving climate technology that grows animal feed indoors at commercial scale, raised $4 million of venture funding from JR Automation.
Accelerator/Incubator
- Consolidated Carbon, industrial hemp-based materials that reduce atmospheric carbon dioxide without impacting food production, joined GCxN as part of its Shell GameChanger Accelerator program and received $250,000 in funding.
Seed Round
- Area 2 Farms, organic farm that delivers locally grown produce to customers in the DC area, raised $9 million of seed funding in a deal led by ANIMO Ventures, Seven Seven Six, and Slow Ventures.
- Insignum AgTech, biotechnology plants that communicate with growers, warning of early-stage infection so crops can be protected, raised $4.18 million through a combination of Seed-1 and Seed-3 funding in a deal led by Innova Memphis, putting the company’s pre-money valuation at $9.82 million.
- Kannar Agriscience, seed, plant, and soil technologies that support both conventional and regenerative agricultural practices, raised $100,000 of seed funding in the form of SAFE notes.
Angel (individual)
- Liberia Organic Cocoa & Agricultural Company, sustainable, eco-friendly, and socially responsible agricultural company that provides organic cocoa beans for the global market, raised $120,000 of angel funding.
