- Abaxx Technologies, a financial technology company that develops software and exchange infrastructure for commodity trading and financial markets, received CAD 69 million of development capital through a private placement.
- Credissential, an AI-powered financial services software company that develops risk assessment and decision-making platforms, received CAD 490,000 of development capital through a private placement.
Buyout/LBO
- Amberdata, a digital asset data platform that provides blockchain and crypto market insights, acquired by Kaiko via its financial sponsor Uggla Family Office through an LBO.
- CMSPricer, a Medicare pricing and contract management software company that helps optimize healthcare reimbursement processes, acquired by Micro-Dyn Medical Systems via its financial sponsors CareForward Partners and The Brydon Group through an LBO.
Merger/Acquisition
- WonderFi Technologies, a technology company that operates cryptocurrency trading and payments platforms, acquired by Robinhood for CAD 233.918 million.
- Blubird, a blockchain technology company that helps businesses design and implement Web3 solutions, acquired by Marechale Capital.
Later Stage VC
- Earlytrade, a cloud-based payments platform that helps construction businesses manage cash flow and invoice payments, raised $30.93 million of Series A venture funding in a deal led by S3 Ventures and Brick & Mortar Ventures.
- FundKite, a revenue-based financing platform that provides working capital to small businesses, raised $31.35 million of venture funding in the form of convertible debt.
Seed Round
- Cambrian, an artificial intelligence infrastructure protocol that automates on-chain and off-chain financial data for decision-making, raised $6 million of seed funding in a deal led by Polychain Capital and Franklin Resources.
- ShredPay, a blockchain-based financial technology platform that supports digital transactions and asset management, raised $1.81 million of seed funding in the form of SAFE notes.
