- Charlotte’s Web, produces and distributes hemp-based cannabidiol wellness products, received $10 million of development capital.
- City View Green Holdings, cultivates, extracts, and produces cannabis products for the medicinal and adult-use markets in Canada, received CAD 725,000 of development capital.
- Enveric Biosciences, novel neuroplastogenic small-molecule therapeutics for the treatment of depression, anxiety, addiction, and other psychiatric disorders, received $5 million of development capital.
- Organigram Global, cultivates cannabis and manufactures cannabis-derived goods in Canada, received CAD 65.2 million of development capital.
Merger/Acquisition
- Alchemist Filling Machine, automated cannabis oil cartridge filling machines that cater to the cannabis market segment and businesses, was acquired by Vireo Growth.
- Hawthorne Gardening, hydroponic products that serve growers of all sizes, from commercial needs to home hobbyists, was acquired by Vireo Growth for $113 million.
- Himalaya, consumer goods services that source naturally cultivated, sun-grown cannabis, was acquired by Leef Brands for $2.5 million.
- Medican Organic, produces and cultivates cannabis seeds and strains, was acquired by Cannara Biotech for $2.8 million.
Later Stage VC
- LeafWorks, botanical deoxyribonucleic acid testing services that ensure accurate labeling of products for the cannabis and herbal industries, raised $900,000 of venture funding.
Early Stage VC
- Perfectly Dosed, natural plant-derived ingredients that create flavorless nanoemulsions for infusion into beverages, food, and cosmetics, raised $290,000 of venture funding.
