Merger/Acquisition

  1. MTL Cannabis, a flower-first company for the modern street, was acquired by Canopy Growth for $131.27 million.

Buyout/LBO

  1. Green Leaf Virginia, cultivates, produces, manufactures, distributes, and sells cannabis services based in Richmond, Virginia, was acquired by Millstreet Capital Management through a $130 million LBO.

PIPE

  1. Artelo Biosciences, biopharmaceutical company that develops therapeutics that target lipid signaling pathways, received $11 million of development capital.
  2. Cannara Biotech, premium-grade cannabis and cannabis-derivative products for Canadian markets, received $4.62 million of development capital from Phoenician Capital.
  3. Enveric Biosciences, novel neuroplastogenic small-molecule therapeutics for the treatment of depression, anxiety, addiction, and other psychiatric disorders, received $5 million of development capital.

Later Stage VC

  1. Curio Wellness, cannabis wellness platform that supports physical and mental well-being through science-informed products, raised $5.27 million of venture funding.
  2. Praetorian Global, cannabis-based products that deliver indigenous community benefits from harvesting raw ingredients, raised $49.65 million of venture funding.

Early Stage VC

  1. Willie’s Remedy+, beverage brand that provides a modern alternative to alcohol, raised $15 million of Series A venture funding in a deal led by Left Lane Capital.

Seed Round

  1. KSHN Pouch Co., smokeless cannabis pouches that provide a natural alternative to smoking and more, raised $1.38 million of seed funding.
  2. Magic Cactus, beverage brand that offers non-alcoholic drinks, raised $1.30 million through a combination of Debt and Seed funding.
