Top 10 CleanTech/Clean Energy Capital Raises and Investors in the U.S. – January 1st to 31st, 2026

PE Growth/Expansion

  1. ReElement Technologies, separated and purified rare earth and critical elements for the electrification industry supply chain, received $200 million of development capital from Transition Equity Partners.
  2. Terra Energy, subscription-based solar energy services that make renewable energy an accessible resource for everyone, received $105 million of development capital from Azora Capital and ArcPe.

Merger/Acquisition

  1. BKV Energy, retail electric services for residential energy consumption, was acquired by BKV for $115.1 million.
  2. GreenFi, climate-focused digital banking platform for consumers seeking checking, savings, and rewards products aligned with environmental goals, was acquired by Coastal Financial.

Later Stage VC

  1. Fleetzero, battery-electric cargo ships that affordably decarbonize ocean freight, raised $43 million of Series A venture funding in a deal led by Obvious Ventures.
  2. Natural Fiber Welding, plant-based materials that reduce the reliance of the soft-goods material industry on petroleum-based materials, raised $7 million of venture funding from Provest Equity and CTW Venture Partners.

Early Stage VC

  1. Jetson, heat pump system that accelerates the adoption of clean home heating technology, raised $50 million of Series A venture funding in a deal led by Eclipse Ventures.
  2. Vaulted Deep, dual waste management platform for geologic sequestration of organic wastes, raised $7.7 million of venture funding in the form of convertible debt from Plug and Play Tech Center.

Seed Round

  1. Reservoir Power, low-carbon renewable energy grid that supports the transition toward a reliable and sustainable power grid, raised $4.11 million of Seed funding from investors, putting the company’s pre-money valuation at $22.89 million.
  2. Verde Technologies, lightweight and flexible solar panels that reduce the costs of solar energy deployment, raised $3.00 million of Seed 1, Seed 2 and Seed 3 funding from investors, putting the company’s pre-money valuation at $8.50 million.
