Top 10 CleanTech/Clean Energy Capital Raises in the U.S. – January 16th-31st, 2025

PIPE Growth/Expansion

  1. Cenergy Power, producer of solar energy catering to the commercial sector organizations, received development capital from Aiga Capital Partners.
  2. Torch Clean Energy, operator of a renewable energy development firm based in Boulder, the United States of America, received development capital from Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners.

Merger/Acquisition

  1. CloudHawk, developer GPS tracking and management software catering to transportation logistics, construction, field service fleets, food, government fleets and pharmaceutical industries, was acquired by BrightOrder.
  2. SmartCover Systems, operator of a remote monitoring and data management platform intended to help utilities track and manage critical field conditions in real time, acquired by Badger Meter for $185 million.

Later Stage VC

  1. Zeno, operator of a motor company intended to provide climate-conscious vehicles, raised $3.87 million of venture funding in the form of SAFE notes.
  2. Sunwealth, operator of a tech-driven clean energy investment firm intended to invest in clean and solar energy projects, raised $12 million of venture funding in the form of convertible debt.

Early Stage VC

  1. Bedrock Energy, provider of construction services intended to transform the heating and cooling of buildings, raised $12 million through a combination of Series A-1, Series A-2, and Series A-3 venture funding in a deal led by Titanium Ventures.
  2. Gravity, developer of an automated carbon accounting platform designed for carbon management, purpose-built for companies with complex value chains and physical operations, raised $13 million through the combination of Series A-1, Series A-2, and Series A-3 venture funding in a deal led by Ansa Capital.

Seed Round

  1. CapeZero, developer of a finance structure software intended for clean energy finance projects, raised $2.6 million of seed funding in a deal led by Powerhouse Ventures.
  2. EQORE, developer of smart energy storage system designed for industrial and commercial facilities, raised $100,000 of seed funding in the form of SAFE notes.
