Top 10 CleanTech/Clean Energy Capital Raises in the U.S. – March 16th – 31st, 2025

PIPE
- SolarBank, an independent renewable and clean energy project developer and asset operator based in Canada and the United States, received approximately $8.5 million of development capital in New York.
- Terrestrial Energy, developer of a reactor power plant technology designed to displace fossil-fuel combustion, received an estimated $50 million of development capital.
Buyout/LBO
- EcoEngineers, operator of consulting, audit, and advisory firm intended to focus on the energy transition, acquired by LRQA.
- Captura, developer of a carbon-capturing system designed to catch scalable carbon from the atmosphere via ocean capture, raised an undisclosed amount of venture funding from MOL Switch.
Later Stage VC
- Energy CX, provider of an energy brokerage service intended to transform how clients navigate the complex energy landscape, raised $1.85 million of venture funding through a combination of equity and debt.
- Freshr Technologies, developer of compostable active packaging materials intended for sustainable packaging for fresh foods, raised $3.43 million of venture funding.
Early Stage VC
- Silicon Data, developer of data products designed to provide market insights and performance metrics for graphics processing unit technology, raised $4.7 million of venture funding in a deal led by DRW Venture Capital and Jump Crypto.
- Coreshell, developer of advanced battery components intended to enhance the performance and efficiency of energy storage systems, raised $24 million of Series A2 venture funding in a deal led by Ferroglobe and Zeon Ventures.
Seed Round
- Public Grid, developer of a smart energy management platform designed to help businesses and consumers save money on their energy consumption bills, raised an estimated $3.5 million of Seed-1 funding from Shadow Ventures and other investors.
- BlueShift, developer of a carbon removal and mineral production system intended for climate change mitigation, raised pre-seed funding from ConocoPhillips, Ridgeline and Massachusetts Clean Energy Center.
