PE Growth/Expansion
- Redaptive, provider of energy system upgrade services intended to serve heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), lighting and data analytics industries, received $100 million of development capital from CPP Investments and other investors.
- NEO Battery Materials, focuses on developing silicon anode materials for lithium-ion batteries in electric vehicles, electronics, and energy storage systems, received CAD 800,000 of development capital from investors.
Merger/Acquisition and Corporate
- Aligned Incentives, operator of a sustainability enterprise platform intended to reduce environmental impacts such as carbon emissions, especially in the supply chain, acquired by Bureau Veritas.
- Pioneer Custom Electrical Products, manufacturer of electrical switchgear and electrical systems integrators intended to serve utility, transportation, commercial, industrial and renewable energy industries, commissioning and technical training services., The company was acquired by Mill Point Capital through a $50 million LBO.
Later Stage VC
- Alterra, developer of a recycling technology designed to free society from landfilling, incinerating or exporting plastic waste, raised for venture funding in a deal led by Infinity Recycling.
- Carbitex, manufacturer of carbon fiber fabrics intended to increase the tensile strength of shoes, raised $3.35 million through a combination of Series B Prime, and Series B-1 Prime venture funding from Michael Marks, and other investors.
Early Stage VC
- CapeZero, operator of a clean energy finance ecosystem intended to streamline tax equity and tax credit financing for clean energy developers, raised $2 million of venture funding in the form of convertible debt from Avesta Fund and other investors.
- Glow International, developer of a blockchain project designed to incentivize the creation of solar plants with carbon credits rewarding, raised $30 million of venture funding in a deal led by Framework Ventures and Union Square Ventures.
Angel, Seed, and Grant
- 2040 Energy, manufacturer of a heat pump boiler designed to provide efficient heating and cooling without burning fossil fuels, raised $35,000 of seed funding in the form of SAFE notes.
- Aether NRG, operator of a comprehensive platform for solar and roofing management intended to streamline workflows for installers, raised $2.5 million of seed funding in a deal led by noa.
