- Therm-All, insulation services that offers metal building insulation laminators, was acquired by Cameron Ashley Building Products, via its financial sponsors Pacific Avenue Capital Partners and Highland Avenue Capital Funds, through an LBO.
Merger/Acquisition

- Air Compressor Works, air-compression products and support services for industrial, commercial, and personal use, was acquired by Atlas Copco (STO: ATCO A).
- JTB Rentals, heavy equipment rental services that serves construction, industrial and agricultural sectors, was acquired by Sunstate Equipment, a subsidiary of Sumitomo (TKS: 8053).

- Aquivio, a hydrogen-containing water dispenser that naturally ingest antioxidants by drinking water, raised $1.6 million of venture funding in a deal led by Flow Ventures.
- Noveon, sintered rare earth permanent magnets that serves the renewable power, medical, industrial automation, electric infrastructure and other industries, raised $215 million of Series C venture funding in a deal led by One Investment Management.
