PE Growth/Expansion
1. Bluesky Digital Assets, engaged in the business of utilizing specialized equipment to solve complex computational problems to validate transactions on the bitcoin blockchain received CAD 242,500 of development capital through a private placement.
Merger/Acquisition and Corporate
2. Griid, a vertically integrated Bitcoin mining company was acquired by CleanSpark for $155 million.
3. Matador, operator of a gold trading platform intended to enhance the buying and selling process was acquired by Scaling Capital 1. The acquisition allows the company to expand its gold trading platform with new capital and public market access.
Later Stage VC
4. Ellipsis Labs, developer of a decentralized exchange platform intended to offer financial services raised $21 million of venture funding in a deal led by Haun Ventures Management. The funds will be used to accelerate the launch of Atlas, a layer-2 blockchain focused on verifiable finance.
Early Stage VC
5. Glow International, developer of a blockchain project designed to incentivize the creation of solar plants with carbon credits rewarding raised $30 million of venture funding in a deal led by Framework Ventures and Union Square Ventures. The funds will be used to scale the company from 5 megawatts of power to 600 megawatts within the next 18 months and expand into new countries
6. PumpBTC, operator of a liquid staking platform intended to bring decentralized finance into the Bitcoins ecosystem raised $10 million of venture funding in a deal led by SevenX Ventures and Mirana Ventures.
7. Perpetuals.com, developer of a trading platform designed to empower retail investors and promote transparency raised $5 million of venture funding.
Angel, Seed, and Grant
8. Lombard, developer of a yield-bearing, cross-chain, liquid bitcoin designed to bring unprecedented interoperability to digital gold raised $17 million of seed funding in a deal led by Polychain The funds will be used to grow out the Bitcoin restaking ecosystem alongside Babylon, a Bitcoin staking protocol.
9. Lore, developer of an AI analytics platform designed to make blockchain legible and searchable for all raised $6 million of seed funding from Flow Traders, CMCC Global and Anthony Scaramucci.
10. Torram Labs, developer of a decentralized oracle and indexer network designed to provide data to other applications raised $100,000 of angel funding.
