Top 10 Data Center Capital Raises and Investors in the U.S. – April 1st – May 31st, 2026

PE Growth/Expansion

    1. Big Watt Digital, data centers that utilizes proprietary technology to increase mining service productivity, efficiency, and useful life, received $306.55 million of development capital.
    2. Vantage Data Centers, data centers that serves energy-efficient infrastructure, received development capital from Arcadia Investment Partners.

Merger/Acquisition

    1. GigaIO (Data Center Business), rack-scale data center infrastructure technology that supports AI compute deployments, was acquired by d-Matrix.

Buyout/LBO

    1. DartPoints, 343,000-square-foot data center campus located in Lexington, Kentucky, was acquired by DartPoints, via its financial sponsors NOVA Infrastructure, Orion Infrastructure Capital and Astra Capital Management, through an LBO.
    2. LightEdge Solutions, 3-megawatt tier III data center located in Kansas City, Missouri, was acquired by LightEdge Solutions, via its financial sponsor GI Partners, through an LBO.

Joint Venture

    1. 1235 Martina Drive Owner, data center project infrastructure located in South Annville Township, Pennsylvania, was formed as a joint venture between Eastern Land & Resources & Inch & Co.
    2. Data Center Operator (DataBank / Goodman), data center facilities that supports high-density and scalable computing capacity in supply-constrained urban regions, was formed as a joint venture between Goodman and DataBank.

Early Stage VC 

    1. Orbital (Systems and Information Management), space-based data center infrastructure that supports artificial intelligence computing, raised $1 million of venture funding from Andreessen Horowitz.
    2. Prometheus Hyperscale, sustainable data center infrastructure solutions that designs and operates the most advanced, sustainable data centers to support the rapid growth in AI, big data, and cloud computing while addressing critical environmental challenges, raised venture funding from In-Q-Tel.

Seed

    1. StratGrid, AI data centers and power generation infrastructure that delivers hyper-efficient, modular, edge-optimized computing capacity for AI workloads, raised $10,000 of seed funding.

Began his career at ABN AMRO Bank in Japan, and subsequently in The Netherlands in the Corporate Finance department. Was seconded to New York in 2006 to co-establish the ABN AMRO North America Corporate Finance M&A department and grew it by advising medium and large companies on domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, capital raisings and capital structurings. Led the management buyout of RBS Bank Mexico and RBS Broker-Dealer Mexico in 2014 and spearheaded the subsequent growth of the bank as Head of Investment Banking & Corporate Development. During his tenure he supported companies with capital and financing solutions with a focus on companies in the US and Mexican energy infrastructure sector and fintech sector. Holds a master’s degree in economics from Groningen University, The Netherlands. Holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
