Top 10 Data Center Capital Raises in the U.S. – September 2nd-15th, 2024

Private Equity Growth/Expansion

  1. Atomic Data, a provider of data center and IT consulting services, received development capital from Dubin Clark & Company. 
  1. Harmonia Holdings Group, a data management and IT services company, raised development capital from Madison Dearborn Partners.

Early Stage VC

  1. CloudSphere, a cloud governance platform, raised $12 million of Series B venture funding in a deal led by Atlantic Bridge to expand its IT visibility platform into security operations.

Merger/Acquisition, Corporate, and Buyout/LBO

  1. Difenda, a cybersecurity and cloud management company, was acquired by Quorum Cyber Security through an LBO.
  1. WarpStream, a provider of cloud-based streaming solutions, was acquired by Confluent.
  1. SkyKick, a developer of cloud management software, was acquired by ConnectWise.
  1. MariaDB, an open-source database management company, was acquired by K1 Investment Management through a public-to-private LBO.
  1. Fullscope IT, a data center and IT services company, was acquired by Magna5 through an LBO.

Seed Round, Angel, and Grant

  1. S2.dev, a developer of cloud-based data management tools, raised pre-seed funding from Grayscale VC.
  1. Internet Golf Database, a provider of data analytics for golf management, a subsidiary of Apparation was acquired by smbGOLF.

Began his career at ABN AMRO Bank in Japan, and subsequently in The Netherlands in the Corporate Finance department. Was seconded to New York in 2006 to co-establish the ABN AMRO North America Corporate Finance M&A department and grew it by advising medium and large companies on domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, capital raisings and capital structurings. Led the management buyout of RBS Bank Mexico and RBS Broker-Dealer Mexico in 2014 and spearheaded the subsequent growth of the bank as Head of Investment Banking & Corporate Development. During his tenure he supported companies with capital and financing solutions with a focus on companies in the US and Mexican energy infrastructure sector and fintech sector. Holds a master’s degree in economics from Groningen University, The Netherlands. Holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
