    1. The Fresh Factory, vertically-integrated corporation engaged in the fresh and plant-based food and beverage industry, including developing, formulating, manufacturing, distributing, and selling fresh and plant-based food and beverage products, received approximately $3 million of development capital through a private placement.
    2. AGT Food and Ingredients, globally diversified food company that produces staple products for everyday consumption, received approximately $200 million of development capital from Fairfax Financial Holdings through a private placement.

Merger/Acquisition

    1. Chiyo, customized nutritional food that offers essentials for a healthy pregnancy and optimal birth outcomes for both mother and child, was acquired by Epicured.
    2. Mosaic Foods, plant-based frozen food that helps people consume organic vegetables, was acquired by Splendid Spoon.

Later Stage VC

    1. Asheville Tea Company, blended craft teas that helps people experience a tasty and adventurous new leaf, raised $40,000 of venture funding from REDF.
    2. Big Tree Farms, organic-based food ingredients and sauces for culinary use, raised $10 million of venture funding from Mirova.

Early Stage VC 

    1. BOLD BAR, protein bars that offers different types of snacks with a blend of complete proteins, healthy fats and honey, raised venture funding from Fortify Ventures.
    2. Prima (Miami), animal-based nutritional snacks that delivers protein-rich food inspired by ancestral eating practices, raised venture funding from Swan Peak Capital.

Seed

    1. CirC (Food Products), protein-rich snack bites that offers convenient, natural-ingredient energy snacks, raised seed funding from Sugar Capital.
    2. GoNanas, allergen-friendly food brand that provides gluten-free and vegan banana bread, raised $5.76 million through a combination of Seed-1 and Seed-2 funding from Entrepreneur Ventures, 11 Tribes Ventures and Barbour Ventures.
