Merger/Acquisition and Corporate

3. 3. Hodo, ready-to-eat products that reveals the discovery of new flavours, aromas, and textures, was acquired by Calbee Japan and Sagamiya Foods.
   4. Crown I Enterprises, value-added proteins and ready-to-eat meals that serves grocers across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, was acquired by Mama’s Creations for $17.5 million.

Later Stage VC

5. 5. Chiyo, customized nutritional food that offers essentials for a healthy pregnancy and optimal birth outcomes for both mother and child, raised venture funding from Rock Ventures.
   6. Serendipity (Food Products), flavored ice cream products that offers various types of ice cream to consumers, raised $4.6 million of venture funding.

Early Stage VC 

7. 7. Doughy, vegan food products that provides delicious cookies without chemicals or additives, raised $6.14 million of venture funding from Corazon Capital and other investors.
   8. Pistakio, pistachio-based food products for culinary versatility and convenience, raised venture funding from Morrison Seger.

9. 9. Pigeon Cove Ferments, fermented food company that brings the health benefits of fermented foods to the community, raised $1.43 million of seed funding.
   10. Point Blank Tequila, tequila brand that provides additive-free Mexican tequila, raised $100,000 of seed funding.
