Top 10 Food Products and Beverages Capital Raises in the U.S. – April 1st-15th, 2025

PE Growth/Expansion

    1. Chef Boyardee, producer of packaged food items intended to offer contemporary food choices for every occasion. The company offers canned pastas, pizza kits, spaghetti sauces, lasagna, and other frozen meals, received development capital from Metropoulos & Company.
    2. Rustica Foods, manufacturer of authentic Italian pizzas and focaccias intended to deliver superior quality and flavor, received CAD 65 million of development capital from Export Development Canada and Fonds de solidarite FTQ.

Merger/Acquisition and Corporate

    1. Delta Fresh, distributor and marketer of premium fresh produce in Otay Mesa, California, Nogales, Arizona and Pharr, was acquired by GrubMarket.
    2. Minore’s Meats, distributor of food products catering to restaurants, banquet facilities, and further processors throughout Connecticut and southern Massachusetts, was acquired by J&M Vital Provisions.

Later Stage VC

    1. ERND Snacks, operator of a healthy food brand intended to offer carb-restricted chocolates, raised venture funding from Philo Ventures.
    2. Rosaluna, producer of wine and alcoholic beverages intended to make authentic and distinctive wines, raised Series A venture funding.

Early Stage VC 

    1. Culture Pop Soda, provider of a probiotic soda made with organic juices intended to offer real, ground organic spices with tasty twists on familiar flavors, raised $15.15 million of venture funding from Enlightened Hospitality Investments and other investors.
    2. The Ryl Co., producer of iced and ready-to-drink tea intended to provide sustainable tea products, raised $15 million of Series B venture funding.

Angel, Seed, and Grant

    1. JoyRoot, producer of organic brewed teas intended to provide people with ready-to-drink, healthy, plant-based drinks, raised $32,500 of seed funding.
    2. Magic Cactus, operator of the non-alcoholic beverage brand intended to create a nontoxic drinking experience, raised $1.03 million of seed funding.
