Top 10 Food Products and Beverages Capital Raises in the U.S. – February 16th – 28th, 2025

PIPE

    1. Global Defence Metals, producer of craft spirits, including whiskey, vodka, and rum, received $5 million of development capital, through a private placement.

PE Growth/Expansion

    1. Laws Whiskey House, producer of whiskey intended to offer a terroir-driven flavor experience to whiskey drinkers, received $1.49 million of development capital.

Merger/Acquisition and Corporate

    1. Aura Bora, producer of craft sparkling water intended to offer bold and refreshing flavors, was acquired by Next in Natural.
    2. Bubluv, manufacturer of boba tea based out of New York, United States, was acquired by Core Home (Household Products).

Later Stage VC

    1. Actual Veggies, producer of plant-only burgers intended for sustainable and chemical-free burgers, raised $7 million of Series A venture funding in a deal led by Relentless Consumer Partners.
    2. The Farmer’s Cow Calfe, operator of a dairy-based café intended to provide fresh food products to the customers, raised $1 million of venture funding.
    3. hiyo, producer of stress-relieving beverages intended to improve cognitive function, aid digestion, and reduce inflammation, raised $19.03 million of Series A venture funding from Constellation Brands, Costella Kirsch and Santatera Capital.
    4. Brother’s Bond, producer of alcoholic beverages intended for distilled and crafted bourbon, raised $7.5 million of Series B1 venture funding.

Angel, Seed, and Grant

    1. Konscious Foods, producer of plant-based seafood intended to offer a more sustainable alternative that reduces the pressure on marine life, received $5 million of grant funding from the Government of Canada.
    2. CatSpring Yaupon, producer of a naturally caffeinated herbal tea alternative intended to have a bold, smooth, and soothing taste, raised $800,000 of seed funding.
