  1. Flowstone, manufacturer of commercial tissue and personal care products intended to empower distributors and facility maintenance companies, received development capital from Gauge Capital.

Buyout/LBO

  1. College Fresh, operator of a full-scale food service management company intended for fraternities, sororities and colleges across the United States, acquired by Upper Crust Food Service, via its financial sponsors Copley Equity Partners, through an LBO.
  2. Advanced Food Systems, producer of custom dry seasoning ingredients intended for food manufacturers, acquired by Solina Group, via its financial sponsor Astorg, through an LBO.

Merger/Acquisition

  1. Loco Food Distribution, provider of locally grown and locally processed foods to restaurants, grocery stores, caterers and institutions, acquired by Golden Organics, a subsidiary of Innovative Food Holdings.
  2. Vertage, producer of plant-based cheese products intended to offer a variety of animal-free cheese, acquired by Misha’s.

Later Stage VC

  1. Immi, producer of food products intended to offer low-net carb and high-protein instant ramen, raised $10 million of Series A venture funding in a deal led by Touch Capital.
  2. Brooklyn Dumpling Shop, operator of a fast-casual dining brand intended to transform traditional diner dishes into various dumpling forms, raised $225,000 of venture funding.

Seed Round

  1. Ayoh, producer of a range of specialty sauces intended to enhance the flavor and texture of sandwiches, raised $4.51 million of seed funding from Habitat Partners, Tonic Ventures and Lerer Hippeau.
  2. Proper Good, provider of meals with clean ingredients intended to be taken on the go and delivered directly, raised $3.5 million of Seed-7 funding from undisclosed investors.

Accelerator/Incubator

  1. InGateyGen, operator of an agricultural biotechnology company committed to developing and producing allergen-free peanuts, joined AgLaunch as a part of its AgLaunch365 Accelerator Program.
