PE Growth/Expansion

1. Fortune Group Games, multi-game gaming cabinets and business management services that serve gaming operators across multiple states, received development capital from 27th Investments.
2. Puttshack, mini golf pub for leisure purposes, received development capital from Lakeside Capital.

Merger/Acquisition

3. Play For Keeps, digital mobile games that create a virtual sports environment, was acquired by JOA.
4. Rec Room, gaming platform that builds a global community to play and create games, was acquired by Snapchat.

Later Stage VC

5. Bluff Media, web-based interactive gaming platform for online betting and game participation, raised $21 million of venture funding in a deal led by 1kx.
6. Skymap Games, game development studio that develops games based on action and adventure genres, raised $1 million of venture funding from investors.

Early Stage VC

7. ModRetro, retro-inspired electronic devices that celebrate and preserve the essence of classic gaming experiences, raised $195 million through a combination of Series A-1,Series A-1 and Series A-3 venture funding from investors, putting the company’s pre-money valuation at $805 million.
8. Verse Gaming, peer-to-peer gaming platform that allows users to place bets on the results of sports and other entertainment and current events against other users, raised $1.43 million of venture funding.

Seed Round

9. Evil Genius Games, computer video games that provide modern-day d20-style campaigns with elements, raised $5.35 million of seed funding in a deal led by Good Trouble Ventures.
10. Nice Gang, mobile game platform that bridges the gap between digital gaming and physical ownership, raised $6.69 million of Seed A funding from investors, putting the company’s pre-money valuation at $29.31 million.
