- CoachCare, developer of a virtual health and remote patient monitoring platform designed to offer personalized programs to simplify the challenge of losing weight, received $1 million of development capital.
- BVI Medical, manufacturer of surgical devices intended for patients affected by cataracts, refractive error, glaucoma, retinal disease and dry eye, received $1 billion of development capital from TPG and other investors.
Merger/Acquisition
- Parcus Medical, manufacturer of surgical products intended for implants and instrumentation used by orthopedic surgeons in sports medicine procedures, acquired by Medacta International.
Later Stage VC
- Lite Run, manufacturer of an unweighting therapy system designed to improve mobility and balance, raised $8.12 million of venture funding.
- CND Life Sciences, developer of a medical diagnostic platform designed to detect key pathological markers in the peripheral nervous system that had been previously out of reach, raised $3.51 million of venture funding.
- Impulse Dynamics, developer of a cardiac contractility modulation technology designed to treat chronic heart failure problems, raised $84 million of venture funding.
- NanoMosaic, developer of a nanoneedle proteomic beta system designed to assist in proteomics, raised an additional $1.05 million of Series A1 venture funding.
Early Stage VC
- Armor Medical, developer of a hemorrhage detection device designed to prevent bleeding in women, raised venture funding from Catalyst by Wellstar.
- Coologics, manufacturer and developer of medical devices intended for the treatment of vaginal infections, raised venture funding from Bold Ventures.
Seed Round
- Surgicure Technologies, operator of a medical device company intended for airway management for civilian and military use, raised $2.36 million of seed funding through a combination of Seed-1 and Seed-2 funding in a deal led by Launchpad Venture Group.
