Top 10 Insurance/InsurTech Capital Raises and Investors in the U.S. – April 1st – May 31st, 2026

PE Growth/Expansion

    1. AmWINS, global specialty insurance distribution platform that addresses complex insurance challenges, catering to construction, energy, healthcare, real estate, public utility, and other industries, received $32.63 million of development capital.

Merger/Acquisition

    1. Ag Crop Insurance, crop insurance and property and casualty insurance for small-town and rural customers in Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico, was acquired by Capital Farm Credit, a subsidiary of Farm Credit System.

Buyout/LBO

    1. Agenium, insurance platform that accelerates digital innovation across the complete underwriting and new business processes for life, health, and annuity, was acquired by Main Capital Partners through an LBO.
    2. Arnold & Smith Insurance Agency, insurance services for coverage and risk management facilities, was acquired by Inszone Insurance Services, via its financial sponsors Ares Capital Corporation BDC, BHMS Investments, Lightyear Capital and Ares Management, through an LBO.

Later Stage VC

    1. 4L Data Intelligence, artificial intelligence-based software and Insurtech platform that improves network optimization and patient outcomes while reducing fraud, raised $7.54 million of venture funding.
    2. Insurica, commercial insurance and risk management that offers a specialized insurance program to different industry sectors, raised $24.77 million of venture funding.

Early Stage VC 

    1. Equal Parts, insurance agency that combines traditional relationship-based distribution with artificial intelligence technology, raised $27.90 million through the combination of Series A-1, Series A-2 and Series A venture funding in a deal led by Inspired Capital (New York).
    2. Novella (Insurance Brokers), wholesale insurance platform that streamlines access to specialty coverage, raised $21 million of Series A venture funding in a deal led by Brewer Lane Ventures.
    3. Panta Insurance Services, autonomous commercial insurance brokerage that provides streamlined, data-driven coverage systems, raised venture funding from 1984 Ventures , Leonis Capital, Palm Drive Capital and Lobster Capital & Fjor (US).
    4. Valgo (Insurance), insurance technology company for risk quantification of physical AI systems, raised venture funding from Floodgate.

Began his career at ABN AMRO Bank in Japan, and subsequently in The Netherlands in the Corporate Finance department. Was seconded to New York in 2006 to co-establish the ABN AMRO North America Corporate Finance M&A department and grew it by advising medium and large companies on domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, capital raisings and capital structurings. Led the management buyout of RBS Bank Mexico and RBS Broker-Dealer Mexico in 2014 and spearheaded the subsequent growth of the bank as Head of Investment Banking & Corporate Development. During his tenure he supported companies with capital and financing solutions with a focus on companies in the US and Mexican energy infrastructure sector and fintech sector. Holds a master’s degree in economics from Groningen University, The Netherlands. Holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
