Top 10 Insurance/InsurTech Capital Raises and Investors in the U.S. – July 1st-15th, 2025

PE Growth/Expansion

    1. INSHUR, a digital insurance platform that provides auto insurance to drivers and fleet owners, received $35 million of development capital led by Trinity Capital.

Buyout/LBO

    1. Propellint, an insurance claims technology solutions headquartered in Andover, Connecticut, was acquired by ReSource Pro, via its financial sponsors Kelso & Company and Harvest Partners through an LBO.

Later Stage VC

    1. Foxen, which offers insurance compliance and rents reporting products for the multifamily housing industry, raised $49 million in Series A venture funding from Summit Partners and Level Equity.

Early Stage VC 

    1. Avallon, which automates insurance operations to streamline claims management, raised venture funding from 468 Capital, Booom and other investors.
    2. Belong Health, a built-to-suit health plan company that offers Medicare advantage and dual-eligible special needs plan insurance offerings, raised $57 million of Series B venture funding.
    3. Corgi Insurance, an artificial intelligence-based insurance platform that makes custom policies for small or mid-sized businesses and startups, raised venture funding from Fellows Fund.
    4. Mending, a health insurance platform that provides affordable, comprehensive care with a focus on strengthening the relationship between patients and primary care providers, raised $17.92 million through a combination of Series A-1, and Series A-2 venture funding.
    5. Modern Life, a tech-enabled life insurance brokerage platform that streamlines business operations, raised $34.69 million through the combination of Series A venture funding.

Seed

    1. Soteris, a machine learning software for insurance pricing, raised $8.05 million through the combination of Seed funding from Webb Investment Network, Amplify Partners and Khosla Ventures.
    2. Stitch Studio, a no-code AI assistant platform that streamlines insurance workflows, raised $3 million of seed funding in a deal led by ManchesterStory.

Led the management buyout of RBS Bank Mexico and RBS Broker-Dealer Mexico in 2014 and spearheaded the subsequent growth of the bank as Head of Investment Banking & Corporate Development. During his tenure he supported companies with capital and financing solutions with a focus on companies in the US and Mexican energy infrastructure sector and fintech sector. Holds a master’s degree in economics from Groningen University, The Netherlands. Holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
