Top 10 Insurance/InsurTech Capital Raises and Investors in the U.S. – October 16th – November 15th, 2025

PE Growth/Expansion

    1. AmWINS, global specialty insurance distribution platform that addresses complex insurance challenges, catering to construction, energy, healthcare, real estate, public utility and other industries, received $35.27 million of development capital.
    2. Balavant Insurance Group, specialty insurance platform that supports managing general agents and underwriting operations, received development capital from SkyKnight Capital.

Merger/Acquisition

    1. Ansel, health insurance platform for employers to enhance their employee benefits with a simple supplemental health benefits plan, was acquired by Renaissance.
    2. Plover Parametrics, insurance data platform that sells event-driven insurance, was acquired by Charter Space.

Later Stage VC

    1. Anzen, management liability insurance service that helps businesses identify and mitigate risks, raised $16 million through a combination of Series A and Series A2 venture funding in a deal led by Madrona Venture Group.
    2. vQuip, insurance safety software that builds an ecosystem of risk management and simplify waivers, rental agreements, and briefings, raised $15 million of venture funding in a deal led by Crosslink Capital.

Early Stage VC 

    1. District Cover, tech-enabled insurance platform that expands access to commercial coverage for small businesses in underserved urban areas, raised $6.00 million of Series A venture funding in a deal led by IA Capital Group.
    2. Stand, property insurance service platform that protects and insures properties from climate impacts, raised $35 million of Series B venture funding in a deal led by Eclipse Ventures.
    3. Casey (Financial Software), insurance platform that automates submission preparation and streamline workflows for hard-to-place lines, raised venture funding from Orange Collective.

Seed

    1. CommonPoint, technology-enabled professional services that streamlines third-party administrator (TPA) discovery and the insurance claims ecosystem, raised $2.5 million through a combination of Seed-1 and Seed-2 funding.

Began his career at ABN AMRO Bank in Japan, and subsequently in The Netherlands in the Corporate Finance department. Was seconded to New York in 2006 to co-establish the ABN AMRO North America Corporate Finance M&A department and grew it by advising medium and large companies on domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, capital raisings and capital structurings. Led the management buyout of RBS Bank Mexico and RBS Broker-Dealer Mexico in 2014 and spearheaded the subsequent growth of the bank as Head of Investment Banking & Corporate Development. During his tenure he supported companies with capital and financing solutions with a focus on companies in the US and Mexican energy infrastructure sector and fintech sector. Holds a master’s degree in economics from Groningen University, The Netherlands. Holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
