Top 10 Insurance/InsurTech Capital Raises in the U.S. – April 1st-15th, 2025

Buyout/LBO

    1. Interboro Insurance, operator of an insurance company intended to provide financial protection for policyholders, was acquired by Forza Insurance Holdings through an LBO for $26.4 million.
    2. TravelInsurance.com, developer of an online travel insurance platform intended to compare and buy travel insurance plans online from leading insurers, was acquired by Integrated Specialty Coverages through an LBO.

Later Stage VC

    1. 4L Data Intelligence, developer of AI-based software and Insurtech platform designed to improve network optimization and patient outcomes while reducing fraud, raised $2.16 million of venture funding.
    2. CoverRight, developer of an online insurance platform designed to provide better navigation for medical care, raised venture funding from GrowthX Capital.

Early Stage VC 

    1. Checkk, developer of a policy checking platform designed to streamline workflows for insurance brokers, raised venture funding from Philo Ventures.
    2. Equal Parts, operator of an insurance agency intended to combine traditional relationship-based distribution with artificial intelligence technology, raised $10 million of venture funding from Equal Ventures Management and Max Ventures.
    3. Meanwhile, developer of a life insurance platform designed for long-term wealth planning purposes, raised $44 million of Series A venture funding in a deal led by Framework Ventures and Fulgur Ventures.
    4. Tivara, developer of a LLM based insurance approval software designed to automate insurance approval for healthcare clinics, raised venture funding from Mischief and Day One Ventures.
    5. Venteur, developer of an artificial intelligence-powered health insurance marketplace designed to offer personalized health benefits to employees, raised $20 million of Series A venture funding in a deal led by American Family Ventures and Informed Ventures.
    6. Vivere, developer of a specialty insurance platform designed to power underwriter-led, technology-enabled growth, raised $7.45 million of Series A1 venture funding in a deal led by Greenlight Capital Re, General Catalyst, and Pathlight Ventures.

Began his career at ABN AMRO Bank in Japan, and subsequently in The Netherlands in the Corporate Finance department. Was seconded to New York in 2006 to co-establish the ABN AMRO North America Corporate Finance M&A department and grew it by advising medium and large companies on domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, capital raisings and capital structurings. Led the management buyout of RBS Bank Mexico and RBS Broker-Dealer Mexico in 2014 and spearheaded the subsequent growth of the bank as Head of Investment Banking & Corporate Development. During his tenure he supported companies with capital and financing solutions with a focus on companies in the US and Mexican energy infrastructure sector and fintech sector. Holds a master’s degree in economics from Groningen University, The Netherlands. Holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
