Top 10 Insurance/InsurTech Capital Raises in the U.S. – May 16th to 31st, 2025

PE Growth/Expansion

    1. Highstreet Insurance Partners, insurance brokerage firm intended to build partnerships that help the insurance industry, received $5.8 million of development capital.
    2. SageSure Insurance Managers, insurance services intended to protect valuable assets, received $69.95 million of development capital.

Buyout/LBO

    1. Fidens Insurance Brokerage, commercial insurance brokerage services intended for construction, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing and distribution, real estate, and technology sectors, was acquired by King Insurance Partners, via its financial sponsors BHMS Investments and Lightyear Capital, through an LBO.
    2. The Cashion Company Insurance and Bonds, insurance and bonding services intended for businesses and individuals, was acquired by Patriot Growth Insurance Services, via its financial sponsors Summit Partners and GI Partners, through an LBO.

Later Stage VC

    1. Enrollment Management Services, healthcare benefits company intended to guide employees and employers through personalized insurance choices outside traditional group plans, raised $4.15 million of venture funding.
    2. Recoop Disaster Insurance, disaster insurance platform intended to cover multiple perils, raised $6.42 million of venture funding.

Early Stage VC 

    1. Farsight AI, artificial intelligence-based automation platform designed to provide augmented financial services and insurance workflows, raised $15 million of venture funding.

Seed

    1. Eventual, premium insurance predictability platform designed to mitigate the impact of rising insurance costs for real estate owners, raised $5.00 million through a combination of Seed, and Seed-1 funding from Clocktower Ventures, Upfront Ventures and Harvest Venture Partners.
    2. Spektrum Labs, database software designed for cybersecurity and cyber insurance, raised an estimated $10 million through a combination of Seed-1, and Seed-2 funding from Danu Venture Group, and other investors.
    3. Voltaire, AI-based insurance management platform intended to handle claims correspondence and business operations, raised $4.2 million through a combination of Seed-1, Seed-2 and Seed-3 funding in a deal led by FundNV.

Began his career at ABN AMRO Bank in Japan, and subsequently in The Netherlands in the Corporate Finance department. Was seconded to New York in 2006 to co-establish the ABN AMRO North America Corporate Finance M&A department and grew it by advising medium and large companies on domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, capital raisings and capital structurings. Led the management buyout of RBS Bank Mexico and RBS Broker-Dealer Mexico in 2014 and spearheaded the subsequent growth of the bank as Head of Investment Banking & Corporate Development. During his tenure he supported companies with capital and financing solutions with a focus on companies in the US and Mexican energy infrastructure sector and fintech sector. Holds a master’s degree in economics from Groningen University, The Netherlands. Holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
