- Actelis Networks, a networking solutions company with a mission to enable communication for Internet of Things, or IoT, projects, deployed over wide areas such as cities, campuses, airports, military bases, roads, and rail, received $1 million of development capital through a private placement.
Merger/Acquisition

- Cox 2M, an Internet of Things asset monitoring software for business operations, was acquired by Cognosos.
- Gatewise, a mobile-based control system for apartment management, was acquired by Allegion.
- Kraftful, an artificial intelligence-based co-pilot platform that offers digital interfaces to make easy-to-use smart home devices, was acquired by Amplitude.
- Lexmark International, a cloud-enabled imaging and Internet of Things printers that helps customers worldwide quickly realize business outcomes, was acquired by Xerox for $1.5 billion.
Later Stage VC

- Antrum, a ventilation system for indoor air quality monitoring, raised $3.71 million in venture funding.
- Asset Insights, a radio frequency identification system that helps businesses manage RFID-tagged assets and products effectively, raised venture funding from Virginia Venture Partners.
- Blues Wireless, a system-on-module device that enables individuals and businesses to get access to the cellular Internet of Things, raised $33 million through a combination of Series 1a and Series 1b venture funding in a deal led by Sequoia Capital and XYZ Venture Capital.
- Xemelgo, an IoT-powered smart manufacturing platform for real-time data-driven decision-making within and across factories, raised $1.5 million of venture funding from Zebra Ventures and other investors.

- Emergent Connext, an integrated IoT network and data platform for the agriculture value chain, rural communities, and adjacent industries, raised $5 million of seed funding.

Led the management buyout of RBS Bank Mexico and RBS Broker-Dealer Mexico in 2014 and spearheaded the subsequent growth of the bank as Head of Investment Banking & Corporate Development. During his tenure he supported companies with capital and financing solutions with a focus on companies in the US and Mexican energy infrastructure sector and fintech sector. Holds a master’s degree in economics from Groningen University, The Netherlands. Holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
