    1. AmberSemi, developer of solid-state technologies intended for the digital control of electricity, raised $1.75 million of venture funding in the form of SAFE notes.
    2. Atmosic, developer of low-power wireless technology designed to reduce Internet of Things devices’ dependence on batteries, raised $40 million of Series D venture funding in a deal led by Sutter Hill Ventures.
    3. Dcbel, developer of a sustainable energy technology designed to power an individual’s car, home, and lifestyle, raised $55 million of venture funding in a deal led by Canada Growth Fund.
    4. Ditto, developer of a mobile database intended to support businesses anytime, anywhere, raised $80.00 million of Series B venture funding in a deal led by Top Tier Capital Partners and Acrew Capital.
    5. MakuSafe, developer of a connected worker technology system designed to improve worker health, safety, and productivity while reducing incidents and mitigating workplace hazards and risk exposures, raised $1.04 million of venture funding.
    6. Mode, developer of a data integration platform designed to collect and apply real-world sensor data to businesses, raised $5.3 million of venture funding from KDDI Asia Pacific, Canon Marketing Japan and Kirin Health Innovation Fund.
    7. Ottometric, developer of a verification software platform designed to automate and enhance the validation and training process, raised $9.51 million of venture funding.

Early Stage VC 

    1. DwarPaal, provider of comprehensive IoT solutions designed for retail and institutional applications, raised venture funding from Thrrive.

Accelerator/Incubator

    1. Secure The Bags, developer of smart storage technology intended to offer secure, flexible and convenient storage facilities, joined Techstars as part of Build In Tulsa Techstars Spring 2025 Cohort and received $20,000 in funding.
    2. smallTalk, developer of a language learning platform designed to commercialize and provide brain development in infants and children, joined Techstars as a part of the Columbus Spring 2025 Class and received $20,000.

Began his career at ABN AMRO Bank in Japan, and subsequently in The Netherlands in the Corporate Finance department. Was seconded to New York in 2006 to co-establish the ABN AMRO North America Corporate Finance M&A department and grew it by advising medium and large companies on domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, capital raisings and capital structurings. Led the management buyout of RBS Bank Mexico and RBS Broker-Dealer Mexico in 2014 and spearheaded the subsequent growth of the bank as Head of Investment Banking & Corporate Development. During his tenure he supported companies with capital and financing solutions with a focus on companies in the US and Mexican energy infrastructure sector and fintech sector. Holds a master’s degree in economics from Groningen University, The Netherlands. Holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
