  1. Cypher Metaverse, a diversified investment company that holds cryptocurrencies and Non-Fungible Token, received CAD 159,525 of development capital.

Merger/Acquisition and Corporate

  1. Qumulex, developer of unified access control and video security software designed to serve the physical security industry, was acquired by Synerion.
  2. Mingo Smart Factory, developer of a manufacturing analytics platform designed to make production data simple, accessible and cost-effective, was acquired by Nulogy through an LBO.

Later Stage VC

  1. Monogoto, developer of cloud-based cellular network designed to implement global cellular connectivity alongside secure private wireless broadband communication, raised $27 million of Series A venture funding in a deal led by Toyota Ventures.
  2. GlacierGrid, developer of monitoring technology designed to offer temperature tracking and analytics, raised $24 million through a combination of Series A-1 and Series A-2 venture funding in a deal led by Zero Infinity Partners, putting the company’s pre-money valuation at $47.35 million.
  3. Neeve, developer of a cloud infrastructure technology designed for smart buildings and spaces, raised $15 million of venture funding in a deal led by Cantor Fitzgerald and RXR Realty.
  4. Rivercity Innovations, developer of cold-chain monitoring technologies designed for enterprise clients, raised CAD 2 million of venture funding in a deal led by StepChange Capital.

Early Stage VC

  1. Guardian RF, developer of a UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) detection system designed to detect, track, and improve unmanned aerial systems, raised venture funding from D3 Venture Capital and Space Capital.
  2. Layla Electric, developer of an artificial intelligence-based electricity platform designed to optimize real-estate management and reduce energy consumption, raised venture funding from Terra Venture Partners.

Angel, Seed, and Grant

  1. Day 4 Night, operator of a game development studio, raised $4 million of Seed funding in a deal led by Krafton, putting the company’s pre-money valuation at $9 million.

Holds a master’s degree in economics from Groningen University, The Netherlands. Holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
