Top 10 Legal Tech Capital Raises and Investors in the U.S. – July 16th – August 31st, 2025

Merger/Acquisition

    1. SpliceNet, information technology services that serves law firms, nonprofits, and manufacturing industries, was acquired by Valeo Networks.
    2. Tome, legal assistance platform that decodes contracts and make business more transparent, was acquired by AngelList.

Later Stage VC

    1. Blue J, legal research platform that helps predict court outcomes, raised $122 million of Series D venture funding in a deal led by Oak HC/FT and Sapphire Ventures.
    2. EvenUp, legal practice management software for getting fair trials and outcomes in personal injury cases, raised $195 million of Series E venture funding.

Early Stage VC 

    1. Amendment, AI platform designed to explain laws and regulations, raised venture funding from Flex Capital.
    2. Olive Legal, AI medical chronology platform that helps lawyers understand their clients, raised $107,500 of venture funding in the form of SAFE Notes.

Seed

    1. August (Legal Services (B2B), configurable legal AI platform that automates legal workflows for law practices, raised $7 million of seed funding in a deal led by Pear and New Enterprise Associates.
    2. LawPro.ai, AI-powered legal technology platform for the injury claims industry, raised venture funding in a deal led by The Legal Tech Fund and Scopus Ventures.
    3. Matey AI, AI-powered legal software that facilitates precision AI for criminal defense, raised $7.5 million of seed funding in a deal led by Timespan.
    4. OpenLaw, legal service platform that connects users with lawyers, raised $3.5 million of seed funding in a deal led by Flint Capital and Slauson & Co.
