- Tirica Lithium, lithium exploration company that focuses on the emerging lithium district in the Chaco Basin in Paraguay, received $248,213 of development capital.
PIPE
- International Battery Metals, a technology and manufacturing company that focuses on environmentally responsible methods of extracting lithium compounds from brine, received $5 million of development capital from Encompass Capital Advisors.
- Leading Edge Materials, a company that explores and develops resource properties in Sweden and Finland, received CAD 2.84 million of development capital from Mr. Eric Krafft and other investors.
- Southern Silver Exploration, a company that acquires, explores, and develops natural resource properties for the enhancement of value and disposition pursuant to sales agreements or development, received CAD 15 million of development capital.
Merger/Acquisition
- Forum Energy Metals, mineral resource company that acquires, explores, and develops energy metals, was acquired by Baselode Energy for $13.123 million.
- Piedmont Lithium, a development-stage, multi-asset, integrated lithium business that supports clean energy economy and U.S. and worldwide energy security, was acquired by Sayona Mining for $648.021 million.
Buyout/LBO
- Orion Steel Group, engineered steel products that cater to rail, energy, and industrial end markets, was acquired by Atlas Holdings through a $500 million LBO.
Later Stage VC
- Disassociate, materials liberation technology that optimizes the world’s use of resources and disrupts best practices in the mining and reclamation industries, raised $30 million of Series A2 venture funding in a deal led by Evok Innovations.
Early Stage VC
- Ab Astra, muography technology platform that provides non-intrusive subsurface imaging for critical industries, raised venture funding from Cites Startups.
Seed Round
- Still Bright, copper extraction technology company that focuses on domestic and low-impact metal refining, raised $18.7 million through the combination of debt and Seed funding in a deal led by Material Impact and Breakthrough Energy
